In 1942, the so called «Speed skilift», from Val Sporz to Tgantieni and then to Piz Scalottas, was built. A mountain hut was built and became soon a charming place, where skiers and hikers alike, could warm up take a rest. We are proud and privileged, to continue this long-standing tradition of mountain hospitality. With us you will not only enjoy the magnificent views but also experience real gastronomic enjoyment from our kitchen and cellar, as well as honest hospitality. Mountain restaurant Piz Scalottas is a picture-perfect mountain retreat. Our down-to-earth cuisine is freshly prepared using seasonal and regional delicacies. Not much more is needed for you to reach, real summit happiness. HOMEMADE WITH LOVE 2 .323 metres above daily life!
Our claim, «Homemade with love, at 2.323 metres above daily life», speaks for itself: There's a lot of passion in what we do. This means that, thanks to the wonderful diversity of the region and the many gifts that the ever-changing seasons bring, we get to immerse ourselves wholeheartedly, in both our work and play. We’re thrilled by the wide selection of local delights, that the stunning holiday region Lenzerheide has to offer. Therefore, it is only logical to share this culinary treasure with you, our guests. We know in our hearts that homemade products simply taste better. And by the way: we only use Swiss meat. Uuuh great, right?
With us, you can enjoy both breakfast and lunch and for those of you with a sweet preference, freshly baked cakes are always on offer. In need of a snack, then our Scalottas platters with Graubünden’s finest meats and cheese are the perfect choice, to help keep your strength up between activities.
For groups, we can arrange to open the restaurant in the evenings. A bucket list experience – with sunset included!
Note: Admittedly, the mountain weather can sometimes be a real challenge. But every weather has its charm! And it is well known that there is no bad weather, only bad clothing. In this sense we welcome you at (almost) every weather on the Piz Scalottas. However, if the chairlift is not in operation due to very bad weather or strong wind, then our mountain restaurant will (unfortunately) stay closed.
