The hosts Barbara Kuert and Florian Zimmermann, as well as the whole «Scalottas Crew», are delighted to welcome you to Piz Scalottas. Barbara Kuert loves gastronomy with all of her heart and soul. After many years in various managing positions, at the world renowned 4-star Hotel Schweizerhof, in St. Moritz, Barbara then took over the general management for eight years at the Zürich opera house restaurants. When the opportunity arose to manage Piz Scalottas, Barbara, homesick for the mountains, didn't hesitate for too long. She is supported by her life partner, Florian Zimmermann.
Florian, a trained merchandiser and marketing specialist, originally comes from Frankfurt am Main. In addition to marketing, cooking and cuisine are his passions and over the years had become his hobbies. It quickly became clear to him, that he should leave his original professional environment and take on the new challenge, up on the mountain. Together with a motivated and young team they started in June 2018 and make sure that a fresh breeze blows on the Piz Scalottas!
Our team lives genuine hospitality - this unites our colourful bunch because hospitality is a matter of the heart! The talents brought along are an enrichment: use instead of waste is the motto here!
